Images of the Grand Canyon: A Photography Expedition
This photography focused excursion takes you to the best vantage points at optimal times for capturing the canyon at sunrise or sunset.
Itinerary Description
This excursion will offer participants an opportunity to capture the wonders of the Grand Canyon through photography. The trip leader will provide participants with light instructional tips and techniques for landscape photography and importantly, will deliver participants to scenic points at the optimal time for capturing the Canyon in photos.
The excursion is scheduled to allow for optimal timing to shoot
the Canyon in film or digital. One set-up and shooting site will
be utilized for this photography excursion and will be selected
from a number of possible sites dependent upon weather, seasonality,
crowds, and trip leader discretion.
Limited interpretation of the natural surroundings and associated cultural and geological history will be provided by your naturalist trip leader.
Personal camera gear (e.g., camera, tripod, filtering lenses, etc.)
is required as no gear will be provided for use by guides. Group
size is limited to 14 (7 persons per trip leader) to allow for more
direct, personal contact with your trip leader and to increase the
overall comfort and experience of our guests. Appropriate footwear
for walking along sometimes uneven but always maintained walkways
and trails is required. Your trip leader will have snacks and water
available on the excursion.
This trip is restricted to adults and children age 12 or older.
