Territories Pacific Coast Yosemite Winter Romp : Journey Highlights

How many people can say they’ve snowshoed through awe-inspiring groves of towering giant sequoias? Or heard the thunder-crack of shifting, frozen waterfalls as the morning sun rises? After this trip, you can! Opportunities abound to explore with your naturalist guide on foot, snowshoes, and cross-country skis—and also to just have fun playing in the snow. Expect some fun indoor discovery too, including a tour of the fabulous Ahwahnee hotel, with dinner in the famous dining room. Winter is fun when you get into it!

• Snowshoe and cross-country ski: If you never have, now’s the time to learn! With a little instruction from your guide, you’ll be shushing out to explore.


• Winter wildlife: Watch for bluebirds, waxwings, quail, woodpeckers, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and maybe even a bobcat or gray fox.


• Badger Pass Ski Area: Located inside the park, Badger Pass offers fun downhill and cross-country terrain—and one of the best sundecks in the Sierras.


• Culture and history: Visit the Pioneer Yosemite History Center, Indian Museum, Yosemite Visitor Center, Ansel Adams Gallery, and Ahwahnee Hotel.
