Territories Rocky Mountains Yellowstones Winter Wonders : Journey Highlights

Over-the-snow coaches transport you into the heart of Yellowstone National Park, where wolves might be seen trotting near ice-rimmed rivers, and frosty-faced bison linger near the warmth of the geysers. Ramble the boardwalks among steaming and bubbling hot pools, and if you’d like, your guide will teach you the fundamentals of snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, so together you can explore the trails to other Upper Basin geysers. Or, sit by the fireplace and chat, play games, or read. There’s something for everyone on this fun trip. Winter really can be the coolest season.

  • Special National Parks Conservation Association departure December 28, 2015 - January 3, 2016.
  • Wildlife watching: Winter is a fabulous time to see wildlife, and you have amazing opportunities to see elk, bison, otters, coyotes, and possibly the elusive wolves.
  • Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing: Explore the snowy landscape with your guide on cross-country skis or snowshoes. No prior experience needed.
  • Quiet season: See the park in its quiet splendor, with a limited number of visitors.
  • "Even seasoned world travelers report that this is one of the most unique and memorable trips they’ve ever taken. We’ll keep you warm and comfortable—and amazed—on this magical winter excursion." —Barbara Mall, Travel Advisor
