Dive into the warm spirit of aloha on a rich and active exploration of Hawaii’s Big Island. There is much to discover, and you start at the top—Volcanoes National Park, nearly 4,000 feet above sea level. From there it’s on to Pu’uhonua o Honaunau, City of Refuge, and a Zodiac boat and snorkeling excursion at Kealakekua Bay Marine Reserve. The last three days of your journey are based out of a beach resort known for its stewardship and Hawaiian spirit. You’ll have a day in and around the scenic paniolo (cowboy) country of Waimea, riding horses across beautiful ranch lands with breathtaking views of the Waipi’o Valley and Mauna Kea, then taking a spectacular zip line ride through lush surroundings. For your last day, try a surfing or stand-up paddleboarding lesson.
“You’ll learn a lot about Hawaiian culture and history—in the midst of a diverse assortment of fun island activities.” –Eden Potratz, OBP Group Travel Planner
