Trip Motif Family Adventure Alaskan Odyssey : Journey Highlights

Each day is a new adventure on this journey into the magnificent, coastal wilderness of Alaska. After walking, rafting, and biking in the forests and mountains near Girdwood, you cross the Kenai Peninsula down to Seward to catch a boat to an extraordinary lodge nestled in a cove inside Kenai Fjords National Park. There you can canoe a quiet lagoon, sea kayak, beachcomb, hike a moraine to the snout of a glacier, or relax on the porch of your cabin and appreciate the amazing views. You’ll be enthralled every day of this active exploration of Southcentral Alaska.

  • Wilderness lodge: Catch a small boat through Kenai Fjords to your lodge and settle in for three glorious days.
  • Wildlife: Watch for humpback and orca whales, sea otters, puffins, eagles, moose, bears, and other Alaskan wildlife.
  • Stay active: Hike, walk, raft, mountain bike, and sea kayak. Nothing extreme, just fun.
  • Forests and glaciers: Walk through a lush, temperate rainforest, and experience glaciers up close.
  • “This is a tremendous opportunity to get off the beaten path for a real wilderness experience on the Kenai Peninsula.” Pam Bryan, Off the Beaten Path Co-founder
