Trip Motif Hiking Walking Grand Canyon Rim To Rim : Journey Highlights

It’s not clear which is more challenging: snagging a reservation with Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, or hiking the canyon rim-to-rim. You achieve both on this epic adventure. As a warm-up to the rim-to-rim, you begin with a cool hike in the restricted-access Navajo Slot Canyons. The next day your guide leads the Grand Canyon descent down the North Kaibab Trail to the green oasis of Phantom Ranch, on the canyon floor. (All you have to carry is a decent-sized daypack.) Each step offers mind-boggling views. You have two nights and a full day to rest, hike, or explore this tranquil world-away. The hike out takes you up the Bright Angel Trail to your South Rim lodge. Unforgettable!
