Spend your first two days hiking and biking the lovely, rolling landscape of San Juan Island, keeping your eyes peeled for whales, porpoises, sea otters, and bald eagles. Your base is a centrally located, well-appointed inn with fantastic views in the quaint town of Friday Harbor. The second tack of the trip takes to the water, with two days of sea kayaking and camping on secluded, outlying islands. These days are ruled by abundant opportunities for shoreline discovery, up-close encounters with marine wildlife, and interesting off the beaten path experiences. Last stop is Orcas Island, for hiking and relaxing at your historic resort.
“This is the perfect Pacific Northwest adventure-vacation, with a little bit of everything: lovely inns, comfortable camping, biking, kayaking, and great food. You’ll have a ball!” –Barbara Mall, Travel Advisor
