This wilderness- and wildlife-focused journey begins in Bozeman, Montana; continues south to a spectacular ranch property near tiny Cameron; leads you through the high heart of our nation’s first national park; over to Teton-ringed Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and finishes up with an off-the-beaten-path stay in the Centennial Valley in Lima, Montana!

For those seeking an immersive experience that allows connection to the people and places that are working hard to ensure the integrity of the land for generations to come, this is the trip for you! We hope that the following sample trip will entice you to craft your own tailored experience with Off the Beaten Path this year.

Here is just a sampling of activities:

  • Horseback riding, bird watching, hiking, fly fishing, and canoeing on the Sun Ranch.
  • Yellowstone National Park exploration and wildlife viewing with your very own expert naturalist guide.
  • Overnight sea kayaking trip on Jackson Lake, with great hiking, wildlife watching, and (of course) sea kayaking!
  • Ride the rapids of the Snake River, hike family-friendly trails, mountain bike the trails of Jackson, or even take on some rock climbing.
  • Be a ranch hand checking and moving cows on horseback, fixing fences, monitoring the grasslands, and (if the time is right) helping with branding and calving.

“Yellowstone is one of the most successful wildlife sanctuaries in the world and a great place to go to remind yourself of the natural order of things.” —Pam Bryan, Off the Beaten Path Co-founder
