Trip Details

hikers resting on a hike in Scotland

What’s Included? Everything you need, plus everything you want.

  • Hiking galore: Every day brings a different hike with a new view—mountains to forest to coast.
  • Castles: If the Queen isn’t in residence you’ll visit Balmoral Castle, with the turreted Braemar Castle as your fallback if she is. And the ruins of Urquhart Castle stand like a historical timeline from the 13th century.
  • Wild places: Scotland holds the largest wilderness areas in Western Europe, including the mountainous Cairngorms National Park.
  • Wee bit o’ whisky: Sample some of the country’s finest at a local distillery and your final inn’s well-stocked whisky bar.

Make this trip all yours!

Most all of our Small Group Adventures can be made private to just your traveling troupe. Just give us a call at (800) 445-2995 and tell us that you would like to “make it private”!

Generally, there are two ways to make a small group adventure private. First, you could capture one of our published departure dates for just your group. In order to achieve this, we have to have sufficient space available to create a separate private trip. Second, we could take the details of this itinerary and fashion it for just your group on dates of your choosing. For this, too, we just need to review your interest, group size, and preferred timing in order to create the trip.

In all cases, the process begins with a phone call so give us a ring at (800) 445-2995 and after just a few minutes gathering information, we can set to the task of making your trip a reality!

I was a Hawaii resistor. The kind who said, “I’m not a lie-on-the-beach person. It’s not at the top of my list.” Then one winter I accompanied my daughter’s gymnastics team to an invitational meet on the island of Oahu. Well, on that trip I discovered my truth about Hawaii. I was a fan! In […]

Falling in Love with Fiji

I’m not sure what first attracted me to Fiji, but whatever it was, the notion of visiting that far-off place with the resonant name had long been one of my most cherished travel dreams. So it was with no small degree of amazement, anticipation, and apprehension that I set foot with my wife on the […]

Spring, Hopes Eternal

One of my grandmother’s favorite expressions, unfailingly delivered with exuberant exaltation, was, “I will to live in a world that wills to live!” She would sing it out whenever she saw anything like a tree growing out of a rock. I think of her when I see the first buttercup of spring, reclaiming its territory […]

The Many Delights of Morocco’s Medina Markets
