Itinerary

Days 1-2: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Your driver will meet you at the airport in Buenos Aires for your transfer. After settling in at your boutique hotel, you’ll stretch your legs on a private Recoleta walking tour to feel the pulse of your new neighborhood. The next morning, meet your guide for a half-day city tour to explore this fascinating and historic capital city.

Days 3-5: El Chaltén – Los Glaciares National Park

After a domestic flight to El Calafate, you’ll meet your driver for your private transfer to El Chaltén. For this segment of your trip, you will be exploring the northern reaches of Los Glaciares, with the iconic Mount Fitz Roy and its soaring Andes massif serving as your backdrop. You’ll spend your days here with a naturalist guide hiking in the park.

Days 6-8: Los Glaciares National Park

It’s time to discover the lesser-seen northern reaches of Los Glaciares National Park. Your basecamp for explorations is a lodge nestled in a remote and incredibly beautiful landscape. Lace up those hiking boots and get the camera ready as you embark on some truly amazing treks in this off the beaten path corner of wild Patagonia. Guided by a local expert, you’ll explore scenic valleys with spectacular overlooks of stunningly vertical mountains, immense lakes, and active glaciers.

Days 9-10: El Calafate – Los Glaciares National Park

After a return transfer to El Calafate, you’ll head further south into Los Glaciares National Park. Here you’ll stand face-to-face with Perito Moreno Glacier, a breathtaking natural wonder and one of the few glaciers on earth that's still growing. Feel the serenity from viewing platforms and then take to the icy waters on a sea kayak tour.

Days 11-14: Torres Del Paine National Park

Cross the border into Chile to witness the landscapes of Torres del Paine. The hiking opportunities will delight – trek the Patagonian steppe, walk through dense forests to a towering glacier, or set out to summit a mountain. Other guided adventures include galloping on horseback across golden grasslands or birdwatching in an ancient forest. Unwind in luxury at your remote lodge in the heart of Torres del Paine.

Days 15-17: Santiago, Chile

Once in Santiago, you’ll journey to the neighboring Casablanca Valley to taste the region’s best wine. Explore Santiago on a guided art and history city tour, before a visit to a small village at the foot of the Andes. Then transfer to the airport for evening flights home.

Hotel Club Frances is a classic, elegant mansion built in the 19th century as private club that transitioned to a hotel later in life. Renowned for its upscale rooms and common areas, the hotel has been frequented over the years by writers, royalty, and Nobel prize winners. The property has 28 beautifully appointed guest rooms, a fabulous restaurant you won't want to miss, and a lovely spa. Perfected located in the heart of the Recoleta barrio, you will have easy access to art, restaurants, and city life that reflects that high energy of Buenos Aires, while enjoying the serenity of the hotel from its nestled location on a quiet street in the district.

Hosteria El Puma

This luxury lodge with 12 comfortable rooms offers intimacy without pretension and a fabulous buffet breakfast to prepare you for days hiking in the area. The rock-climbing and summit photographs and maps lining the hall may inspire your next expedition, but lounging by the fireplace is the most savory way to end the day. Located at the convergence of the area's trailheads and easy walking distance from the town center, this is a fantastic place to stay while in Chalten.

Hosteria Helsingfors

Helsingfors is located in a remote corner of Patagonia, away from any major town or tourism center. The lodge is surrounded by a majestic natural landscape, protected by lush woods which give way to a panoramic view of massive Lago Viedma, Mount Fitz Roy and the Andes Mountains. There are 9 rooms at the lodge, each with private bathroom and designed with an exquisite taste, combining colors and textures that blend in with the environment. Guests can share their daily adventures around a large fireplace in the living area or while enjoying a drink at the welcoming bar. One of the most charming and unique lodges among all our trips, Helsingfors delights all the senses, with truly remarkable gourmet meals at the end of each day. The estancia boasts its own vegetable garden and a refined cellar with a variety of select Argentine vintage wines that accompany each evening's authentic cuisine.

Xelena Hotel and Suites

Xelena is an excellent five-star property with a great location in El Calafate, with sweeping views over Lago Argentino and the Patagonian Landscape. Guest rooms are beautifully appointed with modern features and touches of traditional Patagonian styling, while the hotel spa will keep you feeling relaxed and pampered. Other pleasing amenities include a gourmet restaurant, fitness equipment, and a fascinating art gallery. Explora Patagonia - Hotel Salto Chico

This remarkable lodge is located right in the heart of the Torres del Paine National Park, on the banks of the stunning Salto Chico waterfall. The lodge will delight you with its simple elegance, exceptional comfort, and abundant, expertly guided activities. The setting is just stunning, with welcome surroundings in one of the most remote locations in the world! During your stay, all meals, a menu of daily guided excursions, and local transfers are all included.Each day you will be offered a variety of half day and full day adventures, a mixture of hiking, horseback riding, sightseeing, and boat trip, most of which are scheduled so that you can combine two half day trips if you'd like. Each evening at cocktail hour, the guides circulate among the guests and discuss the next day's options. All outings are led by experienced, knowledgeable and fun guides. Of course, there is always relaxing at the hotel too!Note: Spa treatments are available at Explora and can be arranged upon arrival. Spa treatments are not included in your stay and will require an additional charge
