Itinerary

Days 1-2: Tangier

Arrive in Tangier where you will be met at the airport for your transfer to the hotel. The next morning your guide and driver will lead a tour through Tangier’s old town. Walk the labyrinth of the medina, learn the history and legends of the city, and stroll through fragrant markets. After a true taste of Tangier, relax in your luxurious hotel, secluded high in the forested hills above the city.

Days 3-4: Tangier to Chefchaouen

Your next stop is Chefchaouen. The city is set in the mountains and has striking blue-washed buildings. Once here, you’ll settle into your boutique hotel with views of the city’s ancient medina. In the morning, your guide will help you navigate the narrow streets and alleys of the ancient city, with stops at Place El Makhzen and Uta el Hamman.

Days 5-6: Fes

Leave the mountains behind and drive to the impressive Imperial City of Fes, where you’ll settle into your charming riad in the ancient city. The next day, immerse into the city's labyrinthine UNESCO World Heritage medina. Journey into the past with your guide as you wander through spice and perfume markets, winding alleys, past stunning architecture, and into ancient tanneries.

Day 7: Fes, Meknes, Volubilis, and Moulay Idriss Zerhoun

Today, your guide and driver will take you to Volubilis to explore the Roman ruins, ramparts, and 2nd century gates. Next, is the holy town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a very picturesque village and an important pilgrimage and burial site. Finish the day in the former Imperial City of Meknes which was founded in the 9th century. Then, return for your final night in Fes.

Days 8-9: Erg Chebbi, Errachidia, and Marrakech

Drive to Erg Chebbi where you’ll take a camel ride through the orange dunes to your luxury desert camp. Enjoy a traditional Berber meal and music under the dark Sahara Desert sky. Spend the morning relaxing and enjoying life at camp. In the afternoon, you will transfer to Errachidia to rest at a beautiful riad property before transferring to the airport for your evening flight to Marrakech.

Day 10: Marrakech

Enjoy a slow start to the day at your wonderful riad before an immersive exploration of Marrakech. Stroll the olive groves of the Menara Garden, stop at the foot of the Koutoubia Minaret, see the Arabic-style Bahia Palace, and discover much more in the wondrous old world of the medina.

Day 11: Imlil Valley and Atlas Mountains

The Imlil Valley in the Atlas Mountains feels a world away from Marrakech. Take a guided walk on footpaths that lead past apple and walnut orchards, rivers, and traditional adobe Berber villages. After tea with a local family and lunch at a Moroccan retreat, return to Marrakech in time for dinner.

Days 12-13: Marrakech and Departures Home

The remainder of the time in Marrakech is yours! Relax at your riad, explore the ancient medina on your own, take a cooking class, or go on a tour of the Dar El Bacha palace and the Les Jardins Secret. After breakfast at the riad on your final morning, meet your driver for your transfer to the airport for flights home.
