Trip Details

Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight in Santiago

Arrive into Santiago and spend the night in the Lastarria neighborhood in the heart of Chile’s capital city, just 15 minutes’ walk to the Plaza de Armas. Hop on a bicycle for a guided tour of the city, riding through city parks while taking in eye-catching architecture and art, and the energy of the city.

Days 2-4: Pucón

Off to Patagonia! Fly to Temuco, and transfer to Pucón in the heart of the Lakes District. Pucon is a small resort town set on the shores of Lago Villarrica in the shadow of Volcan Villarrica. Spend the afternoon strolling the streets of town. There are two additional days to explore, and opportunities abound – hike along cooled lava flows through native flora and forests, explore volcanic caves, soak in the healing waters of Termas Geometricas Hot Springs, ride horses to the El Claro Waterfall, or take a zipline excursion. No matter where you go, Villarrica and Lanin Volcanoes will be hovering overhead.

Days 5-7: Bariloche and Nahuel Huapi National Park

Embark on an incredibly scenic trip across the Andes Mountains from Chile to Argentina, skirting past Volcan Lanin, traveling through San Martin de Los Ande and Bariloche, winding along the Rio Limay, and following the shores of Lago Nahuel Huapi. You have arrived! Your luxurious hotel is right on the lake, so you can enjoy stand-up paddleboarding, fly fishing, and birdwatching right out the door.

Day 8: Buenos Aires

Return to Buenos Aires, retreating to a boutique hotel in the heart of the Recoleta neighborhood, a perfect “last night” location, within walking distance of area restaurants and attractions.
