Itinerary

Day 1: Seattle and Mount Rainier National Park

Arrive in Seattle, pick up your rental car and head straight to Mount Rainier National Park.

Days 2-3: Mount Rainier National Park

A private, local guide leads you through your first two days of adventure in Rainier's old-growth forests, alpine meadows, lakes, and waterfalls. Learn about the geology behind the active volcano, watch for elk, bears, and other wildlife, and take in stunning mountain views and moments of solitude.

Day 4: Mount Rainier to Olympic National Park

Feel yourself unwind as the miles tick by on your long drive around to Lake Crescent on the northern side of Olympic National Park.

Days 5-7: Olympic National Park

You're off to explore Olympic National Park! Take a guided hiking tour or simply enjoy the beautiful views of Hurricane Ridge, and then hike to Marymere Falls in the afternoon. Your next few days in the park are spent kayaking beautiful Freshwater Bay, and enjoying your time in the Hoh Rain Forest and on the Pacific Coast.

Days 8-9: North Cascades National Park

Make the exhilarating drive from Olympic National Park to La Conner, Washington. The journey includes a ferry transfer, then a quick drive to your accommodations in La Conner. This quaint town, once a bustling steamboat route, is rich with history, and hosts downtown buildings that date back to the 1860’s. From here, meet a local naturalist guide and drive into the Cascades Range for a guided tour in North Cascades National Park.

Day 10: North Cascades National Park to Seattle

This morning, take your time exploring the scenic vistas in the Mount Baker National Forest. This area is rife with outstanding views of this powerful mountain range and surrounding wilderness. Then it's time to drive back to Seattle. The final night of your trip finds you at the comfortable and lovely Cedarbrook Lodge, a quiet oasis not far from the airport.

Day 11: Departure home from Seattle, Washington

After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the Pacific Northwest as you board your flight home from Seattle.

Lake Crescent Lodge

Historic Lake Crescent Lodge on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula is nestled among the giant fir and hemlock trees on beautiful Lake Crescent. Built in 1915, the charming resort features comfortable, spacious guest rooms. Enjoy the simple elegance of yesteryear as you unwind by the stone fireplace in the lobby or settle down in the cozy sun porch to catch a spectacular sunset over the lake.

La Conner Channel Lodge

La Conner’s only waterfront hotel boasts Northwest styling, water views and has an ideal location for daily exploring and great Northwest eateries with locally-sourced, farm-grown ingredients. Be welcomed by the flagstone entryway, cedar-shake siding and gardens, or bask in our lobby’s lush furnishings aside the river rock fireplace. Guest rooms are charming, spacious, and many feature wonderful views of the channel.

Cedarbrook Lodge is located within five minutes from Seattle's SeaTac Airport, but feels a world away. Set on 18 acres of lush, restored wetlands, guests can enjoy a Northwest experience while being close to the airport.
